Mibenya was started to share my passion for design and crafting with you. My love for observation, experimentation and discovery led me to start working with metal and to create handcrafted, minimalist, contemporary everyday jewelry. The play of colors, patterns and textures and geometric shapes builds the foundation of my work. As an environmentally responsible jewelry artist it is also important to me to see my business operations through this lens. Therefore I chose to work with environmental friendly fabrication techniques to minimize the impact on the environment.

Environmental responsibility

Material

All jewelry pieces are designed and handcrafted in my studio and only quality material from reliable sources are used for fabrication. My preferred raw material is Argentium Sterling Silver (TM), a patented and trademarked alloy, which outshines traditional Sterling with its bright white silver color, contrasts well with any color and complements a variety of skin tones. This silver alloy is made from recycled silver, does not contain nickel, and with proper care is highly tarnish resistant.

Except for chains and some small components all my pieces are handmade.

 

Care instructions for Argentium Sterling Silver Jewelry

Like any precious metal jewelry, Argentium items need some attention to keep them looking their best.

Argentium Sterling Silver is low maintenance, easy to care for and simple to keep clean. Simply wipe away any dust or fingermarks with a soft cloth. For more thorough cleaning use a damp cloth with diluted dish washing detergent and dry thoroughly.

As recommended for other precious metals, remove your Argentium jewelry before entering a swimming pool or Jacuzzi and before carrying out activities where it could come into contact with chemicals.

Care instructions for Color on Metal Jewelry

Color on Metal Jewelry has been coated with a protective clear-coat for color protection. Simply wipe away any dust or fingermarks with a soft cloth. For more thorough cleaning use a damp cloth with diluted dish washing detergent and dry thoroughly.

Remove your piece of jewelry before entering a swimming pool or Jacuzzi and before carrying out activities where it could come into contact with chemicals.

Please do not use solvent-based cleaners, petroleum distillates, dip polish, electrolytic cleaning processes or rough cloths for cleaning of your clear-coated jewelry.
